Why is the app not opening?
Because Silence Cutter is distributed outside the Mac App Store, macOS may show a security warning on first launch. Simply right-click the app and select "Open" to bypass it. This only needs to be done once.
What video formats are supported?
Silence Cutter supports all formats that macOS can play natively — including MP4, MOV, M4V, and most common codecs like H.264 and H.265. If QuickTime can open it, Silence Cutter can process it.
What macOS version do I need?
Silence Cutter requires macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later. It runs natively on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.

Can I use it with Final Cut Pro or Premiere?
